Writing Professional Emails (virtual only) For new professionals and other adults Mar. 6th Saturday @ 1:00pm (1 hour) (1 session) [$55/class] With the average business person receiving over 100 emails per day, to be effective, you must understand the email rules of the road. Most email decisions can be resolved by thinking critically about the potential recipients of the email and respecting their time and attention.
Essay Editing 101 For adults wanting to help their kids Mar. 1st - Mar. 29th Mondays @ 10:00 am (1 hour) (4 sessions) [$55/class] How can you best help your children with their writing assignments? Learn how to identify their most common errors and how to point them in the right direction without crossing the line -- without becoming a co-author.
Grammar Basics: “Snap Classes” (virtual only) For anyone and everyone!! Beginning Feb. 28 Sundays @ 5:30pm [$20/class] Each week we’ll focus on a discrete grammar topic and hit it hard -- learning the rule, seeing it in practice, then testing it with quick and fun interactive quizzes. No long term commitment. Just exploring our sometimes byzantine grammar rules 30 minutes at a time.
Book Club Classics For Adults First book: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald Second book: The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway Beginning Mar. 12 Fridays @ 10:00 am [$25/class] Do you encourage your children to read and to appreciate great literature? Then set an example. We will read one book -- one of the classics! -- every 6 weeks or so, meeting weekly to discuss the book’s characters, plot, and themes.
