Bachelor’s degree in Biology & Geology from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY

Ph.D. in Geosciences from The University of Texas at Dallas

Early career in field research and as a shipboard scientist for Ocean Drilling Program

30+ years teaching experience in university, community colleges, middle/high school

8 years teaching introductory college courses in geology, oceanography

3 years teaching high school at the Jakarta International School

10 years teaching Middle School Science at ESD

10 years in administration and science teaching in ESD’s Upper School

Experience (and interest) in working with students transitioning into private schools from non-traditional educational environments

I love spending time with family - especially my husband and two dogs (Amber & Sadie)

I am an avid gardener, food preserver, reasonably good cook, and love to travel
