Edgar Ramirez

Edgar Ramirez is an experienced educator, Texas-certified Spanish teacher, and published author with more than 25 years of experience in education. Throughout his career, he has taught students across all grade levels, from elementary through high school, as well as adult and professional learners. Originally from Colombia and now based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Edgar brings a multicultural and multilingual perspective to the classroom and extensive experience working with students from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning needs.

Edgar is a certified Spanish teacher for grades 6–12 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Language Teaching, with a focus on Spanish, English, and French, from Universidad Industrial de Santander. He also earned a Master of Science in Leadership and Administration in Education from Capella University. His academic preparation, combined with decades of classroom experience, has given him a strong foundation in language acquisition, curriculum development, instructional strategies, classroom management, and individualized student support.

Throughout his teaching career, Edgar has worked with learners at different stages of their academic and linguistic development. His experience teaching Spanish ranges from introductory courses for students encountering the language for the first time to advanced instruction focused on developing greater proficiency, fluency, and confidence in communication.

Edgar is also the published author of Life Reborn (Volver a Vivir), a book centered on resilience, personal growth, and the transformative power of life experiences. His work as an author reflects his passion for language, communication, storytelling, and helping others discover new perspectives.

As an educator, Edgar believes that every student can learn and succeed when instruction recognizes the individual behind the learner. His approach combines high expectations with patience, encouragement, structure, and individualized support. He strives not only to help students improve academically but also to develop the confidence, independence, curiosity, and motivation they need to become successful lifelong learners.

Edgar is excited to bring his extensive teaching experience, language expertise, multicultural perspective, and passion for education to HolaHP, where he looks forward to helping students strengthen their Spanish-language skills, overcome academic challenges, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
