Science + Math
I hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering Physics and a master's degree in Nuclear Engineering. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have a strong passion for teaching and mentoring. I’ve had the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant for freshman-level physics courses, where I’ve enjoyed helping students grasp challenging concepts and develop a solid foundation in the subject. I also mentor three undergraduate researchers and help them prepare for a career in the sciences. I have a strong background in several subjects, including physics, chemistry, mathematics, and computer science.
Outside of academics, I have a wide range of hobbies, including hiking, painting miniatures, reading, and computer programming. I find that these activities provide a creative and refreshing balance to my technical work.
I’ve lived in various places, including Texas, Maryland, California, Illinois, and France, and regularly visit El Salvador. These experiences have enriched my perspective and allowed me to connect with diverse people and cultures.
Overall, I am deeply passionate about education and love the opportunity to work with students, helping them succeed and develop their potential.
