Marny Blake

  • In her free time, Marny enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and their 3 children, cooking, and traveling. She loves spending the summer in the Bahamas making wonderful memories with her family.

  • Marny feels passionate about teaching and loves to work with children. She wants to make an impact on a child in a positive way while providing a safe and loving environment and a foundation of learning both socially and academically. She also believes it is important to be flexible adapting to the many different learning styles and to encourage each child to utilize their own curiosity.

Laura Rathjen

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Plan II Honors and a Pre-Medical Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin 2018

  • Current Masters of Education with Educator Preparation Student from Southern Methodist University

  • Will take Certification Exams in Summer 2020 and Graduate in Fall 2020

  • Will be ESL Certified and EC-6th Certified

  • Graduate of Highland Park High School with great appreciation for her wonderful teachers in the HPISD District

  • Works at Hola HP as an Administrative and Customer Liaison, as well as helping teachers in their classrooms as needed.

  • In her free time, Laura loves teaching Sunday school at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, talking her dog, Blair, on walks, cooking for her friends and family, and reading. 

  • Laura is passionate about teaching and so thankful for her opportunity to impact the lives of children. She is planning on teaching PreK or Kindergarten, and is committed to creating a safe, fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all of her students. She believes in developing students social-emotional skills in the classroom in tangent with helping them achieve their academic goals. She hopes her students leave her class with a love of learning, confidence in themselves, and excitement to come to school everyday.
