What is Learning and Behavior Support?

If your child is experiencing challenges in or outside of school, we are here to help. We take a whole-child approach by reviewing academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related needs. Using this comprehensive review, we will then provide personalized recommendations, practical strategies, supportive materials, and resources to guide your next steps.

Consultation and Appointment Options
Initial Intake and Next Step Consultation:
Initial Intake- A scheduled ~40 minute meeting at Hola HP to review parent concerns.
Next Step Consultation- A scheduled ~30-45 minute meeting at Hola HP to review recommendations.

ARD/504 Support
Pre-Meeting Preparation:
Prepare parents for what to expect in an ARD/504 meeting, including the meeting process, responsibilities of both parents and school administration, discussion topics of the meeting, and guidance on organizing their concerns.

Post Meeting Review:
Review all decisions, forms, and documentation from the meeting, ensuring that parents understand the outcomes, any action items, and the next steps required for follow-up. Provide clarification as needed and outline responsibilities for both the family and the school moving forward.

ARD or 504 Meeting Attendance:
Attend meeting with parent as needed if requested.
Parent and/or Student Support Session:
Scheduled 60-minute session with a student for direct instruction on specific skills.

Scheduled 60-minute session with a parent to discuss targeted strategies that address learning, social, emotional, behavioral, or familial needs.
Academic and School Option Support
​
Initial Parent Consultation:
Work with parents to decide which school environment best fits their child’s strengths, talents, and learning style.

Private or Public School Visit/Tour:
Accompany parents to observe work environments and structure of the school day to find a place where their child can truly thrive.
Collaborative School Support:
Work with parents to create practical support systems and strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators. Offer workshops and presentations for teachers and schools upon request.
