What is Educational Intervention?

If your child is experiencing challenges in or outside of school, we are here to help. We take a whole-child approach by reviewing academic, social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related needs. Using this comprehensive review, we will then provide personalized recommendations, practical strategies, supportive materials, and resources to guide your next steps.

Common Situations We Can Support​​

  • My child is struggling in school, now what? 

  • My child is struggling outside of school, now what? 

  • Is private school or homeschool right for me?

  • How to redirect rambunctious energy.

  • How to build successful school morning routines.

  • How to avoid after school meltdowns.

  • How to Increase flexibility through schedules.

  • How to structure for homework-time success.

  • What type of schedules help elementary students?

  • How to use checklists, timers, fidgets, and breaks.

Consultation and Appointment Options

Initial Intake Consultation: Discuss a brief history and current concerns. Receive recommendations for techniques to try, support materials, contacts for next steps.  Approximately 30-60 mins at Hola, via zoom, or by phone.

Next-Step Consultation: Review and discuss parent concerns targeting specific needs. Approximately 30-60 mins at Hola, via zoom, or by phone.

Hands-on Parent Training (In Person Only):
Learn targeted techniques and methods to support their child’s learning, social, emotional, behavioral, and familial needs.

In-Home Consultation:
Observe needs within the home to provide specific recommendations for targeted needs. Provide support materials and scheduled follow-up call to check progress or see if the plan should be altered.

In-Home Parent Training:
Learn techniques and methods to support the child’s needs including materials, set-up of environment and scheduled follow-up call to check progress or see if the plan should be altered.

ARD/504 Support


Pre-Meeting Preparation:
Prepare parents for what to expect in an ARD/504 meeting, including the meeting process, responsibilities of both parents and school administration, discussion topics of the meeting, and guidance on organizing their concerns.

Post Meeting Review:
Review all decisions, forms, and documentation from the meeting, ensuring that parents understand the outcomes, any action items, and the next steps required for follow-up. Provide clarification as needed and outline responsibilities for both the family and the school moving forward.

ARD or 504 Meeting Attendance:
Attend meeting with parent as needed if requested.

Academic and School Option Support

​

Initial Parent Consultation:
Work with parents to decide which school environment best fits their child’s strengths, talents, and learning style.

​

Private or Public School Visit/Tour:
Accompany parents to observe work environments and structure of the school day to find a place where their child can truly thrive.

 

Collaborative School Support:
Work with parents to create practical support systems and strategies in collaboration with teachers and administrators.  Offer workshops and presentations for teachers and schools upon request.
